With an Alltel 1300, 1800, or 13 number, you can use call routing or call forwarding to avoid missing calls. You can:

  • route (redirect) calls to different numbers based on the time of day (e.g. your mobile phone for after-hours calls)
  • automatically forward calls to a second (or third) number at times when you’re not able to answer the phone
  • use a call interactive voice response (IVR) menu to forward calls based on your caller's concerns

You can also subscribe to a live answering service to take your calls for you when you're unavailable. You can use any of the options above to redirect calls to live answering.

If you miss a call to a Local Number, you’ll receive an email notification with either a voicemail message or the number of the person who called. Note that the calling number cannot be provided if the Caller ID is blocked.
