Inbound numbers (e.g. 13 numbers, 1300 numbers and 1800 numbers, including smartnumbers®) are “virtual” phone numbers. This means they aren’t tied to any one specific phone in the same way that your landline and mobile numbers are.

Instead, an inbound number lets you control incoming calls to suit your needs. You can do this by choosing the answer-points that will ring when your inbound number is called. These answer-points can include landlines, mobile phones, fax machines or call answering services. You can select multiple answer-points for a single inbound number. For example if you want to ring a different number outside of regular business hours, or if you want your calls to go through to an answering service when your line is busy or not being answered.

An inbound number is extremely flexible while offering many routing options. Alltel also offers complementary products that work beautifully with a 1300, 1800 or 13 number. Call analytics and self service options are also available for our customers.
